Cookies

In order to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies. These are small text files that your web browser accepts and stores on your computer when you visit our pages. Some of the cookies are deleted immediately after closing the browser. Other cookies remain permanently on your computer and enable us to recognize you or your computer the next time you visit our website. This site uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

  • Transient cookies, these are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which the various requests of your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies, these are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

You can influence the use of cookies by changing the settings of your browser. Most browsers have an option to restrict or prevent the storage of cookies. Each browser is individual in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the respective help menu of your browser.

You can find this for the respective browsers under the following links:

Please note, however, that deactivating cookies may mean that only limited functions of the website are available to you. The legal basis for the use of cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

Analysis tools

Use of Google Analytics: Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, thus excluding the possibility of personal references. Insofar as the data collected about you is related to a person, this is therefore immediately excluded and the personal data is thus immediately deleted.

We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

Use of Hotjar

Our website uses Hotjar an analytics software provided by Hotjar Ltd. 3 Lyons Range- 20 Bisazza Street- Sliema SLM 1640, Malta (http://www.hotjar.com), which allows us to analyze how you use the website. Hotjar uses cookies as well as a tracking code through which the collected data is transmitted to the Hotjar server. This data is essentially device-related information, such as the IP address, the screen size of your device, the device type and browser information, such as type and version, your geographical location and your language setting. In addition, your email address is transmitted with your first and last name, if you have provided us with this information. Periodically, user interaction, such as mouse movement, web pages visited, and the date and time of use are also transmitted to Hotjar. Your IP address is automatically anonymized by Hotjar and stored only in this form. In addition, users of the website are assigned a “unique user identifier (UUID), through which Hotjar can record returning users of our website – without linking them to your personal data. You can prevent the collection and use of your data by Hotjar via the link https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out.

 Social media links

We link to the social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube on our website by using the respective icons. These are hyperlinks through which no transmission of your data takes place. If you click on the link, you will be forwarded directly to our respective social media presence. Your data will only be transmitted to the respective social media service if you are logged into your respective user account. In this case, the respective social media platform may receive information about the content you have viewed on our website. Responsible for the social media services linked by us are exclusively:

for Facebook and its internet presence, Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA;

for Instagram and its Internet presence, Instagram, LLC, 1601 Willow Rd. Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA;

for YouTube and its internet presence, YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, St. Bruno, CA 94066, USA;

For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and about the further processing and use of your data by the respective social media service, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective platform.

 Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94.043 USA on our site. With Google Tag Manager, marketers can manage website tags via an interface. A tag is one of marking or labeling a piece of data. However, the Tag Manager itself, which deploys the tags, works without cookies and does not collect any personal data. The tags set up via Google Tag Manger only ensure the collection of data that is passed on to the target system. Because the data is only passed through, the system does not collect or store the determined data itself. Thus, the Tag Manager merely triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. For these respective third-party providers, corresponding explanations can be found in this privacy policy. However, the Google Tag Manager does not use this data. If you have set or otherwise made a deactivation of cookies, this will be observed for all tracking tags that were used with the Google Tag Manager, so the tool does not change your cookie settings.

Google may ask you for permission to share some product data (for example, your account information) with other Google products to enable certain features, such as making it easier to add new conversion tracking tags for AdWords. In addition, Google developers review product usage information from time to time to further optimize the product. However, Google will not share this type of data with other Google products without your consent. For more information, please see Google’s Usage Policy and Google’s Privacy Notice for this product.

Use of social media plug-ins

On our website, we use so-called social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”).

We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to Instagram. The plug-in in the form of images is provided with the caption “Follow us on Instagram”. We open up the possibility for you to communicate directly with Instagram via the button. Only if you click on the marked box and thereby activate it, Instagram receives the information that you have accessed our website. In addition, the data mentioned under § 1 of this statement are transmitted. By activating the plug-in, personal data is therefore transmitted from you to Instagram and stored there (for US providers in the USA).

We have neither influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the processing, the storage periods. We also have no information about the deletion of the collected data by Instagram.

When you interact with the plug-in, especially by clicking on the plug-in image, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Instagram. The content of the plug-in is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged into Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly assign your visit to our website to your Instagram account. The information is also published on your Instagram account and displayed there to your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this allows you to avoid an assignment to your profile on the Instagram.

Instagram stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Instagram to exercise this.

For more information on the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Instagram, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Instagram’s privacy policy: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388/.

If you do not want Instagram to directly assign the data collected via our website to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website. You can also completely block the loading of Instagram plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker “NoScript” (http://noscript.net/).

The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

Remarketing/ Retargeting

On our websites, we use “Custom Audiences” of Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) for retargeting or remarketing purposes. This service uses so-called tracking or remarketing pixels. These are pixel image files that enable log file analysis. By using the pixels, the service provider can see when and how many users have called up the pixel, or whether and when an email was opened or a website was visited.

With the help of this service, users of the website can be shown interest-based advertisements (“Facebook Ads”) when visiting the social network Facebook or other websites also using the procedure. We thereby pursue the interest of displaying advertisements that are of interest to you in order to make our website more interesting for you. When you visit our website, a direct connection to Facebook’s servers is established via the pixel. Facebook is thereby enabled to identify you by means of the browser ID, as this can be linked to your user account. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: Through the integration of Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding web page of our website, or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider will learn and store your IP address and other identifying features.

Deactivation of the “Facebook Custom Audiences” function is available for logged-in users at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_möglich.

The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DS-GVO. For more information on data processing by Facebook, please visit https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Right of objection

If you do not want to receive advertising generated by the respective targeting service, you can object to the use of retargeting technology on our websites by sending us a message to info@certirex.com.

 Data security

We have taken a variety of security measures to protect your personal data. Our servers and databases are protected by physical and technical measures, among others. We use standard SSL encryption technology when collecting and transmitting data via our website. Personal data is transmitted during the ordering process using SSL encryption, which can be recognized by the lock symbol in the browser and the addition “https://” in the address bar. With encrypted communication, your payment data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. When communicating by e-mail, 100% data security cannot be guaranteed.
